Silence, no more.

This is a poem written by a member of our club. It illustrates the struggle of having to see an unrecognizable face on every outlet while they receive no justice and have no voice:

I don’t know who you are

I have no idea how you feel

To me

You’re just a face

To others

You are family

A mother

A daughter

A sister, a brother

You are the world

But you are missing

Your name on every channel

Your face on every paper

Your picture three years old

Your family begging

Your friends asking

But you are missing

Where are you?

Silence

From you

From your oppressors

From the police

From the government that failed you

But not from your family

Not from your friends

Not from us

You will come back

You must come back

No more silence

We will be your voice

We will tell your story

We will make them listen

We will shout

Fists raised

In protest

For you

For everyone

For those of the future

We will not stay silent
